On August 4th, Governor Quinn signed HB 1576 into law.  Better known as the "Firefighter Hiring Bill" it was drafted after two years of discussion between the AFFI and the Illinois Fire Chiefs Association.   Public Act 097-0251 streamlines and improves the firefighter hiring process in Illinois.
